About the project
The Nagatinsky Business Center is located on the Nagatinskaya embankment of the river Moscow and is clearly visible from the Nagatinsky Bridge and the nearby embankments. Located in a string of high-rise residential buildings on the embankment, the business center is a dominant feature, standing out for its purpose and architecture.
Lighting concept and tasks
The task of architectural lighting was to blend the building with the existing night panorama and at the same time highlight it.
Project implementation
Linear luminaires with oval optics and a very warm color temperature of 2700K are installed along the top of the building, forming a kind of “crown”. The narrow niches separated by protruding vertical ribs are lit with spotlights with narrow optics with a white neutral color temperature of 4000K, which allows to create contrast between the two architectural elements. The location of the spotlights in the niche sets a peculiar rhythm on the façade: if you look at the building from the side, a dynamic effect appears, the building seems to be in motion. This arrangement of lighting fixtures minimizes discomfort for observers since the light remains in the niche and does not enter the main windows.
