In January 2018, the solemn opening of Water Academy, the first higher educational institution in Russia that will produce professional managers for the water services and sewerage system sector, was held in Saint Petersburg. Water Academy was established on the basis of the Vodokanal of St. Petersburg two years ago.
In September, it will admit the first bachelor student. The Academy will be able to produce up to 100 graduates per year. Also, employees of the industry will have an opportunity to upgrade their qualification and retrain.
The Academy is located in a renovated historic building in Chernoretsky Lane. A long three-story building with a massive colonnade was built in 1956 in the style of Stalinist neoclassicism. The general director of Vodokanal of St. Petersburg, Yevgeny Tselikov, noted that the building was reconstructed and equipped in record time. In the course of the works, the facade was repaired, walls and foundations were strengthened, windows and partitions were replaced.
IntiLED light equipment was used to implement the project of architectural illumination of the Academy.
As the main task was to keep the perception of the integrity of the building in the evening and at night, so uniform flood lighting was chosen.
Suitable solution was 380 monochrome uncontrolled light fixtures of IntiLINE series with oval optics 10x50°, lengths of 60, 100 and 130 cm. All products have multiway switching.
Warm white light well mixing with the yellow color of the facade of the building was chosen for the equipment. IntiLINE cases were additionally painted in the color of the facade, RAL 1015, which makes them as undistinguishable as possible.
The total power consumption of the entire lighting system of the Academy is only 8.5 kW.
The delivery and installation of the equipment was performed by Incostark
