Crave Theatre, Moscow

  • Project:
    Crave Theatre
  • Location:
    Moscow
  • Details:
The main façade lighting at Crave Theatre was executed using INTILED luminaires designed to meet the client's specifications for vibrant yet balanced RGB lighting. The system features programmable scenes that sync with each performance's colour themes while addressing key requirements: equipment reliability, high-output performance for urban light pollution conditions, and capability to independently control separate groups of luminaires.
Our lighting solution highlights the theatre's modern avant-garde aesthetic through dynamic colour-changing effects. Using DMX control technology, the façade transforms in sync with current productions, becoming an atmospheric art installation that draws audience attention.
The installation features multiple INTILED product lines: KUB IMF8 RGBW DMX 14W spotlights mounted on entrance columns, SLIM ILF12-0,6FC DMX 18W linear fixtures highlighting the decorative entrance niche, LINE ILF9-2FC DMX 30W linear luminaires along the side columns, and discreet PILL IRF1 3W compact spotlights integrated into side wall niches.
Full-colour luminaires were selected for their superior performance in close-proximity façade applications. Unlike standard RGB fixtures, which blend colours on the building surface and risk visible colour separation, these advanced fixtures mix hues internally through combined LED and lens technology. This ensures deeper, more consistent colouration across the entire façade.
The optics were carefully tailored to the building’s architecture, delivering both uniform illumination and precise accent lighting that highlights the theatre’s distinctive design elements. The result is a technically sophisticated system that elevates the façade into a dynamic extension of the theatrical experience.
