Camp on lighting design called “Poliarnie Zori - the City of Light” - the bright beginning of great history

Poliarnie Zori is a small city in the North of Russia, which lives in the conditions of a harsh polar night, decided to use this unique opportunity for new development: in the next five years this city will become a center of a lighting industry.
In 5 - 11 of August there will be held first in the history of Arctic Circle training camp on lighting design called “Poliarnie Zori - the City  of Light”.
During the 7 days period, famous Russian experts will conduct a series of lectures and practical exercises in a form of workshop for 20 participant from all of Russia.
Camp experts will be: Ulyana Vinogradova, head of lighting design at IntiLED; Sergey Sizy, founder of LiDS lighting design school, member of International Association of Lighting Design; Oleg Yurchenko, architect, director of “Studio U”; lighting designers Elena Bokova and Ekaterina Kosmynina.
Together with the participants, the instructors will examine the theory of light branding, lighting examples in the cities of Russia, the basics of architectural, landscape, street and road lighting. The tutors will tell about the basic lighting techniques, about each stage of the project development, and about possibilities of lighting equipment by demonstrating IntiLED products. 
The camp participant will work with urban environment right on spot. The camp program consist of planned excursion for data collection in the first day.  Participant will begin work on their projects with discussion and creation of concepts and selection of necessary equipment. After that will be natural modeling in the city and also placement an linking-up all of the equipment. Finally, the last stage will be presentation of the concepts of light branding of the city in front of professional jury.
After a week, spent in Poliarnie Zori, participant not only get a solid theoretical base from leading experts in the field of lighting design, but also improve their practical skills.
Cost of camp
Training, residence, meals (breakfast, lunch, coffee break) at the expense of the camp organizers. 
The participant pays only for a travel and dinner.

The selection will be made after an interview with instructors, which will be held face-to-face in Moscow or on Skype.
