On November 15, 2016, Saint Petersburg hosted the 11th International Congress
"Energy Efficiency. 21st Century. Engineering methods of reducing power consumption in buildings". Industry professionals, representatives of the business community as well as government and administrative bodies got together once more to thoroughly discuss technological, regulatory, informational and other obstacles to increasing energy efficiency in designing, building, operating and overhauling buildings, structures and constructions.
During breakout sessions, IntiLED shared with other participants the company's experience in implementing facade lighting projects and set forth a number of issues inhibiting professional activity of Russian companies. Those can include an imperfect bidding system that is often aimed solely at price warfare.
Another current issue is the blind spots in legislation as far as lighting, which often do not allow for sufficient controlling of the marketing relationships and protecting real national manufacturers from pseudo-Russian companies and low-quality lighting equipment.
For many years the Congress has also been one of the leading venues for promoting products by Russian manufacturers. Held annually as part of the congress, the "Energy Efficiency. 21st Century" exhibition demonstrates cutting-edge developments in energy-efficient materials and technologies. A record-breaking number of experts not only display unabated interest toward the topic of energy efficiency but also substantially promote energy efficiency ideas and programs. The congress is organized by the National Union of Energy Conservation and Improvement of Energy Efficiency, the National Builders Alliance, the National Union of Surveyors and Planners, NPO AVOK NORTH-WEST and the Consortium LOGIKA-TEPLO-ENERGOMONTAZH.
