On November 9, 2018, a grand event in the world of lighting engineering: the international exhibition of decorative and technical lighting, electrical engineering and building automation - Interlight Moscow powered by Light + Building had concluded.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a grand ceremony of awarding the winners of the Russian Lighting Design Competition was held. This ceremony is an essential part of Interlight. Since 2011, projects based on IntiLED equipment participate in competition’s finals. This year was no exception - the project of lighting the Perm TV Tower took the second place in "Outdoor Lighting" nomination. The main task of the TV tower lighting concept was to create a unique evening image, observable from any viewpoint of the city. Simply applying Static floodlight wasn’t enough, so IntiLED and ElPromEnergo specialists used emphasizing dynamics and created unique dynamic color scenarios.
“It was clear, that IntiLED would place at contest. The company is an undisputed leader in architectural lighting field. For 10 years of successful growth, it developed it’s own design office. In my opinion, IntiLED is the benchmark of building a product line, ” - stated Konstantin Tsepelev, the founder of Bright Buro, this year’s contest jury.
In addition to competitive program, IntiLED presented EDGE and IntiSIM series of lamps in the Lighting Design Cube trend zone, which was created by the lighting design school LiDS Lighting Design Studio & School. This unique part of the festival introduced visitors to the exhibition of latest trends in lighting design, and also presented tools for their creation. The modern world does not stand still, therefore, the way of understanding the functions of artificial lighting is transforming along with the progress of society. The question of future of architectural lighting in Russia took an important part in interview with Elena Belova, IntiLED Development Director, for “Electrical Engineering Market” magazine.
Interlight is an international project that brought together 40,000 professionals in the field of lighting and electrical engineering from the CIS countries, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the USA in 2018.
