Beyond doubt, modern St. Petersburg not only maintains the style and cultural traditions but also nurses progressive ideas in all spheres of social and business life. Perhaps, for this reason the Northern capital was selected for the implementation of the large project of modern neoclassical housing Hovard Palace.
The architectural concept of the project restores the tradition of St. Petersburg’s neoclassicism that was disrupted after 1917. The image of Hovard Palace house reminds of the features of the features of the «high Petersburg style» that is typical of the works of L. Benois and F. Lidval.
The club house lighting project was implemented in October 2015 and designed based on the continuity of this idea of style. In the evening and at night, the advanced LED lighting system manufactured by IntiLED demonstrates neoclassical ideals following the classical proportions and strict lines.
The neoclassical range avoids the rave of colors or the prevalence of a single energetic color, and therefore, in order to maintain the style, more than 100 pieces of the lighting equipment providing only warm white light were used.
The building has a traditional design and comprises three residential levels differentiated by weighty order booms. The lighting system follows the design: two lower levels are highlighted with the rising light.
IntiLINE luminaires with 100° optics are installed on the pedestals throughout the building perimeter to provide light. Near the column bases and house pilasters there are also IntiSTARK spotlights with 10-degree optics. Compact IntiROLL spotlights with 30° optics place an emphasis on window apertures. The installed lighting system performs two functions simultaneously: on the one hand, it forms the overall evening appearance of the building, and on the other hand, it expressly emphasizes the architectural elements of the complex.
The monumentality of Hovard Palace appeals to the Golden Age of architecture, standing out against the dense development of St. Petersburg.
Multilight lighting company developed the design project and working documentation, and carried out the supply and installation of equipment.
