The spring of this year saw the completion of LED lighting system of the Institute of Physics and Technology at Bashkir State University. It counts as the second campus whose lighting was set up based on IntiLED equipment.
The Institute of Physics and Technology is the university's oldest structural element and is its contemporary. It hosts fundamental research in non-linear event physics, optical connection, geophysics, radiophysics, physical hydrodynamics of the oil and gas layer, and more. The building itself is located on Zeki Velidi street 32, and its shape is similar to a sliding rule. The unorthodox architectural idea inspired a grand concept for the facade illumination.
The wide central portion constititues a three-section vitrified space above rthe entrance canopy, approximately eight meters in height. 12 RGBW InstiSTARK spotlights with narrow 10-degree optics were used to ensure saturated flood lighting across the entire height of the niche. Re-reflecting against the side walls and glass surfaces, the light produces a niche, creating a volume effect. All equipment is unified in a control system allowing not only to chance the light colors but also to produce various effects. Thus the facade turns dynamic, and is practically brought to life.
The project was implemented in March of 2016 by the lighting design company MT Electro, Ufa. The company carried out the planning, supplying and installation of the equipment.
