IntiLED supported the international Light It Up Blue campaign

On April 2, IntiLED together with MT Electro Lighting engineering company supported the International Light It Up Blue campaign dedicated to World Autism Awareness Day, which is intended to support people with autistic spectrum disorders.
This day saw the building of Ekaterinburg Administration lit up in blue in token of solidarity with autistic people and their families, as well as to draw public attention to the issues associated with this condition.
IntiLED provided equipment to illuminate the Administration building, which comprised 100 cm long linear IntiLINE luminaires, as well as IntiRAY spotlights.
In 2008, the United Nations General Assembly declared April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day. In 2005, Autism Speaks, a major US organization, invented Light It Up Blue campaign. Within its framework, on April 2, buildings are illuminated blue, various events: master classes, performances, exhibitions, round tables, special lectures, flash mobs, are held to promote a dialogue between special and ordinary people.
These issues are topical, as the number of children with this condition is growing. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 68 children is born with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and this figure continues to grow at a rate of 13% per year. The importance of raising this issue is also accounted for by the need to further integrate the people with ASD into society, which is only possible provided there is sufficient public awareness and readiness.
