About the project
Architecture, as the most monumental branch of art, is a means of accumulating and transmitting history from generation to generation. It can be traced incredibly well in Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, with a population of about 2 million. The former capital, Almaty is the major commercial and cultural centre of the country, as well as its most populous and most cosmopolitan city that has absorbed all the diversity and cultural differences of the participants in its design and development; hence you can find all the variety of urban planning styles there. The project INTILED was involved in has combined the motifs of the Moorish and Persian cultures so popular in the East, but at the same time retained its unique nature.
Lighting concept and goals
The lighting concept takes into account all the aesthetic and functional factors, the location of the project and its architectural features (shape, size, texture, material). The color temperature was chosen to accentuate the idiosyncratic structure of the façade.
Project implementation
We opted for the 3000K color temperature that elegantly emphasizes the noble material of the façade cladding. Luminaires of the IntiTWIN family are located on the side façade and perform a decorative function with a focus on its natural ornaments. IntiTUBE luminaires set the rhythm for the cornices, thereby making the building three-dimensional. IntiGROUND fixtures evenly flood the façades visually turning the building into the most significant point of the entire area.
