Modern light-emitting diode solutions by IntiLED were used to create a dynamic lighting system for a new high-rise residential complex Repin Park in Yekaterinburg. The opening of the 26-storey complex an event for all city dwellers, since the novel media illumination of the building can now be enjoyed from various points in the city. The high-rise complex itself is rather reserved: the four sections with varying number of floors (26-23-20-17) have a radial shape and are executed in a blue-and-white palette. The facade color formed the basis for the lighting concept. Its centerpieces are four arc-shaped crowns topping each section. Linear RGB IntiLINE luminaires with a 30° beam angle were mounted diametrically on each one. They produce saturated continuous blue light for the crown's full height. Additionally, compact IntiROLL spotlights of cold white light with 10° optics were mounted on facades to achieve lighting accentuation. Placed in pairs, they produce narrow light beams, reinforcing the building's vertical structure. All luminaires are operated via the DMX protocol using a controller. On July 23, the city dwellers witnessed the showcasing of the controlling system's capabilities, allowing for a truly mesmerizing lighting show. The lighting program can be modified daily, with scenarios both for business days and holidays. "The Repin Park illumination project is a remarkable example of a lighting project for people. With this lighting decoration we tried to show that not only can the highlighting of a residential complex be just pretty, but it can also be truly alive, instilling feelings and emotion!" -- says a representative of MT Electro, the creator of the lighting system, in commenting on their idea.
Dynamic lighting produces a favorable emotional environment, attracting the attention of the dwellers and increasing the complex's prestige factor. Competent placing of the equipment, no stray lighting on windows or visual pollution and a correctly selected light and color palette all create comfortable living conditions. The choice of LED light sources is also deliberate. It helped optimize power consumption: a little over 9 kW is required to illuminate all four sections. The full range of project operations, including development of the control scenario and effects, was performed by the lighting company MT Electro. Repin Park is a new premium-class residential complex in Yekaterinburg. It includes a fenced area with access control and limited traffic, high-quality children's playgrounds, an underground parking lot with a car wash and a tire shop, guest parking spots and an own gas boiler house. What also stood out was the improvement project for the surrounding grounds and the children's playground. Their decoration materials included greenery, rubber coating and granite. The residential complex's common facilities were finished with artificial brick and stone. Since the site was named after a great Russian painted, the hallways are decorated with Ilia Repin's works.
