About the project
The Pyramid cultural and entertainment complex is a remarkable architectural landmark shaped like a pyramid, situated in Kazan. This complex was developed between 1997 and 2002 and has become a symbol of contemporary architecture and functionality within the city.
Lighting concept and tasks
As part of the project, the original architectural lighting that was in place at the complex's opening was restored with the help of modern technology. The lighting fixtures from 2002 were replaced by SLIM, LINE, BOX, IntiGROUND, and IntiTOP luminaires, all featuring a color temperature of 4000K.
Implementation
LINE luminaires were installed directly on the pyramid structure, providing a gentle illumination to the stone piers. BOX fittings were used to light up the metal trusses, while SLIM fixtures placed in niches highlight the glass apex of the pyramid. IntiTOP luminaires are integrated into the canopies at the entrance areas.
Adjacent to the pyramid is a tower that serves both technological and aesthetic purposes. In replacing the equipment, the original installation positions were taken into account, and standard fixtures were adapted to their non-standard locations. For instance, the IntiGROUND luminaire is mounted in the ceiling with an additional attachment, while the IntiSTARK with 7-degree optics is installed sideways to illuminate narrow vertical openings in the air. Additionally, IntiSTARK luminaires positioned on the ground, along with KUB and BOX floodlights, were utilized to illuminate the structure of the tower.
