The new point of interest appeared in Kazan in 2018. The legendary Tu-144, one of 7 supersonic passenger airliners remaining in the world, was installed near Kazan National Research Technical University.
Renovated on the exterior, the plane appeared before the city dwellers and guests in the glow of spotlights manufactured by IntiLED company. Authors of lighting scheme, the Mirex company, jointly with the lighting design division of the IntiLED company managed to recreate the feeling of flying.
The basis of a technical solution is the combination of 3 types of LEDs (green, blue, and white) in the equipment to simulate the color of the sky.
16 IntiSTARK series projectors set on four pillars on the perimeter of the site are used to illuminate the top of the plane. The ground LED spotlights of the IntiGROUND series create upward lighting.
Controlled by DMX 512 protocol, the luminaires of IntiGROUND and IntiSTARK series can create a wide range of dynamic colour solutions, working in an automatic play of colours mode or holding any possible colour.
Only the first stage of reconstruction was completed at the beginning of 2018. KAI management plans to host the first-ever interactive museum in the Tu-144 by the end of the year - for the 50th anniversary of the first flight of the supersonic aircraft.
In addition to the thematic interactive exhibit, there are plans to perform virtual tours on board of the plane for schoolchildren and students.
Visitors will be able to participate in the various stages of the aircraft assembly or flight preparation.
