In the late 2016, the frontage of the Danube shopping mall was fitted with IntiLED lightning system. The new shopping complex with SPAR as an anchor tenant is located in Dunaisky Prospekt (the Danube Avenue) in St Petersburg.
The name of the complex underpins the concept of lightning: to repeat the contour of the twisty Danube river. The Danube is the second long river in Europe, an “international river” flowing from Schwarzwald Mountains in Germany and running through the territory of ten European countries.
The lightning solution consists of 450 IntiTUBE luminaires 100 cm long, which make a continuous broken line of light. Red colour was chosen for a good reason: the luminaires not only support the corporate color identity of SPAR chain store, but also make an eye-catching contrast to the mirror surface of the frontage. Lines of semi-columns, three along each of two facades, are emphasized with IntiSTARK projectors, also of red colour.

The Danube shopping mall is based in the south of the city, between Zvezdnaya and Kupchino underground stations. The new complex has a favourable location: the Dunaisky Prospekt with its intensive transport infrastructure. Total area of the complex amounts to 13,500 m2.
