The Imam Al-Bukhari Memorial Complex is one of the significant architectural sites in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan. Located in the village of Khartang, the complex combines memorial, architectural, and public spaces. As part of a large-scale renovation of the territory, new facilities were created, including a mosque, museum, administrative buildings, and landscaped areas.
The objective of the architectural lighting project was to create an expressive nighttime appearance of the complex, highlighting its scale, symmetry, and architectural features. The lighting solution forms a cohesive composition, accentuating the main building volumes, vertical elements of the towers, facade details, and key architectural features.
The memorial complex is illuminated using INTILED equipment: IntiSTARK, RAY, LINE, and LACE. The lighting solutions were selected according to the specific characteristics of the site and allow for expressive illumination of various architectural elements.
The lighting design combines functionality and artistic expression, revealing the architecture of the complex at night and creating a distinctive silhouette within the surrounding environment.
The project was implemented in cooperation with regional representative NGR Construction.
