IntiLED will talk about the lighting of the Lakhta Center complex at the international conference “Lighting Design” 2019 in St. Petersburg
We will share details about an implementation of IntiLED’s largest project - Lakhta Center - at the international conference “Lighting Design” 2019 in St. Petersburg. This year IntiLED became the official partner of the event.
The Russian lighting industry is in limbo, traditional approach no longer works. Some companies froze in anticipation of changes, while others took a path of solving short-term problems. Luckily there will always be those who can carefully listen and understand today’s needs and create a comfortable lighting environment even in the context of digitalization. These influencers of the world of lighting became the speakers of the main event in Russian lighting design industry, organized by ITMO University in conjunction with the State Hermitage and the ARCHKLUB project.
The grand opening and the first day of the conference will be held on November 1 at the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum. Discussions of this day will be devoted to the development of a smart lighting environment in cities, museums, galleries and other exhibition spaces.
Conference participants will be able to attend lectures by leading Russian and foreign experts.
The block of practitioners will be opened by the head of the IntiLED’s lighting design department - Ulyana Vinogradova with a lecture "A new level of customization in facade lighting: the experience of the Lakhta Center." Ulyana is a guest lecturer at ITMO University and MPEI, with 9 years of experience in lighting design and over 100 completed projects of architectural, landscape and city lighting, many of which won prizes at Russian and international competitions.

Innovative methods vs traditions ”with the participation of government representatives, academic and professional communities.
The day will end with a workshop “Light and an art object. How to acquaint the viewer with art objects ”for designers and architects with the participation of Moscow lighting designer Ksenia Lanikina, founder of the lighting design studio YARKO-YARKO, and Artyom Yavtushenko, CEO of the St.Petersburg-based company aledo.
The second day of the conference will be held under the motto "Professional Transformation."
A round table with the leading designers, cultural experts and representatives of progressive design schools, a presentation of the innovative international project LIGHT4HEALTH will take place in the ARCHKLUB cultural space on the territory of Sevcabel Port.
The large professional event Light Slam will not leave anyone indifferent. Experts will share the challenges that they had to face when implementing specific lighting solutions. Ulyana Vinogradova will talk about collaborative lighting design:
“Traditionally, during the process of lighting design we focus on the technical specifications provided by a client. However these specifications do not always take into account the interests of all potential users. We often don’t have an information about their needs, expectations or opinions. Involvement of the target audience, such as residents or visitors, into lighting design process became a common practice in many countries. In spite of that, it is still considered as something pretty unusual in Russia.
We are going to tell you how to start! Together we can make our cities more attractive, comfortable and safer”
Program of the conference will be officially closed with gala dinner.
